Obituary:
Roy Dale Forsythe passed away at the age of 81, on Jan. 25, 2012. Visitation will be Monday, Jan. 30 from 6-8 pm at Charter Funerals Northland Chapel; 77 NE 72nd St. Gladstone. The funeral will be on Tuesday, Jan. 31 at 10 am at the chapel. Graveside services begin at 2 pm at Avalon Cemetery in Avalon, Mo. Roy was born in Tina, Mo. on August 16, 1930. He served in the Army. He worked for Fairbanks & Morse Colt Industries for 34 years. He liked to hunt and fish with his son and grandsons. He also bowled on bowling leagues. He is preceded in death by parents, Wilber and Dorothy. He is survived by his wife Shirley, of the home; one son Martin and Gwen Forsythe; two daughters, Marcie Timmerman, and Margaret and John Reynolds; two sisters, June and Harold Garber, and Katie Sease; five grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
