Obituary:
Michael Allan Springs, 61, Kansas City, passed away July 13, 2011. A visitation will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, July 16, followed by a memorial service at 11:30 a.m. at the Church of the Resurrection, Wesley Covenant Chapel. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Mike’s name may be made to Community for Christ Outreach Center, PO Box 204, Sunrise Beach, MO 65079.
Michael was born on November 9, 1949 in Kansas City, Missouri. He was a graduate of Raytown South High School and was a U. S. Army veteran. He was the founder and president of Ortho-Care, an orthopedic supplies company, since 1979. He enjoyed boating and spending time at the Lake of the Ozarks, and was a member of the Old Guide’s Club. Mike was a fun-loving and happy person and will be greatly missed.
Mike is survived by his mother, Virginia Limpus; 3 children: Ginny Forgy and husband, Jason; Bret Springs; and Whitney Springs; 3 grandchildren: Alexis, James, and Taylor Forgy; a sister, Kathy Neill and husband, John; a niece, Krista Davis and husband, Mark; and his great nephew and “birthday buddy”, Grant.
