John R. Sanson, 85, of Kearney, Missouri, passed away January 8, 2019 at Liberty Hospital. A visitation will be held from 1:00-3:00pm on Saturday, January 19, at Northern Hills Baptist Church, 17211 NE 180th Street, Holt, Missouri, 64048.

John Roger Sanson was born January 5, 1934 in Livingston County, Missouri, to Claude and Nancy Sanson. After graduating from high school, he moved to Parkville where he met and married Karla Kay Sanson (Creason). John is preceded in death by Karla and is survived by their five children: John (Jane) Sanson, Vicki (Ron) Sanson, Paul Sanson, Nancy (Kenny) Omland, and Terri (Michael) Stevenson. He is also survived by 15 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren, and three brothers: Everett Shipp, George Shipp, and Marvin Sprague.

John made his living in the car business for over 50 years. He was an avid fisherman and enjoyed hunting, shooting, and growing tomatoes. John loved spending time with his family and was always there with a story to tell or a shoulder to lean on. John will be missed by everyone who knew and loved him.

    Appreciate knowing Roger as he impacted our lives by working Frank into the auto industry. The stories he told at Grannie’s Christmas gatherings are a fond memory as are all the times with
