Obituary

Sandra Lee was born on January 26, 1943, the second of five children, to Sarah and Boyd Brooks. While no one can recall her having happy memories of her childhood, everyone remembers the stories she would tell about getting lost in books as she grew up. Books were always a constant in her life.

After moving to Michigan as a teenager, she met Jerry Ramsey while waitressing at a local restaurant in Wayne, MI. Their love blossomed quickly and they married on June 17 1960. Their son, John, was born to them in 1961 and their daughter, Susan, in 1963.

Sandra was a dedicated homemaker, taking care of the home and the children. She raised not only her children but had a hand in raising her niece and nephew, Sarah and Bill, as well as raising her grandchildren, Christina and Jason.

In the early 80’s, she became a part-time book-keeper for Jerry’s Automotive. She did this until Jerry closed his shop 2005.

Sandra loved card games, going on walks, gardening, a good bargain, and her Kansas City Chiefs.

Above all, though, she loved her family - fiercely and unconditionally.

She is preceded in death by both parents, two sisters, Barbara and Joyce, her brother, Dellas, and her husband Jerry. She is survived by he sister Sarah, her son, John, her daughter, Susan, her grandchildren, Christina and Jason, and four great-grandchildren, Ethan, Alanna, Evelyn, and Jake.
