Marilyn Josephine Jameson, 76, Lake Tapawingo, died Saturday, March 9, 2019, at her home.

Mrs. Jameson was born Marilyn Josephine Sellers on July 30, 1942, in Independence Missouri, the daughter of Leslie Sellers and Maudelle Hopkins Sellers. After graduating from High School, Marilyn married Mr. Neal Beck of Blue Springs, Missouri. They had one son, Kevin Douglas Beck-Jameson. Following their divorce, Marilyn met and married the love of her life, Mr. Wayne L. Jameson. They lived in Independence, Missouri, where Marilyn worked primarily as a Homemaker. Marilyn also worked briefly as a photographer and as a Sales Associate for Sears. Marilyn was a devoted wife and mother, spending countless hours supporting her only child, Kevin, in all his activities. She was a Christian, and a member of the Reorganized Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Marilyn moved to Lake Tapawingo in 1996, just three doors down from her son and two grandchildren, Ross & Kelly Jameson. She was a devoted grandmother who saw her grandkids on and off the school bus every day, helped with their homework, and showered them with love and hugs.

She is survived by her son Kevin D. Jameson, Blue Springs; two grandchildren, Ross Jameson, Independence, Mo., and Kelly Jameson, Warrensburg, Mo.. Four step-sons of Minnesota; Ed Jameson, Invergrove Heights, Dan Jameson, White Bear Lake, Karl Jameson, Minneapolis, Joe Jameson, Atkin; One brother, J.D. Sellers of Springfield, Missouri.

A memorial service will be held at New Hope Church, 220 W. Moore St. Independence, Missouri on Friday, March 15th, at 11 a.m., followed by a graveside service and burial at 1 p.m. at Mound Grove Cemetery in Independence, Missouri. All gifts and memorials will be used for her final arrangements.
