Obituary

Stephen Allen McGarvey (66) of Gladstone, Missouri died on March 19, 2019. Steve was born January 25, 1953 to Paul and Eileen McGarvey in Normal, Illinois. He graduated from Champagne High School. Steve moved to Missouri to attend college and graduated from William Jewell in 1976.

Steve loved the Kansas City area and stayed here for the rest of his life. He worked for Heath Tool Sales and Service for 25 years before retiring in 2018. He loved watching the Royals and NASCAR, listening to the Blues Kitchen show on KKFI, and playing golf with his friends.

He leaves behind his daughter Elizabeth Lindgren, son in law Daniel, two beloved granddaughters, Evangeline and Flora Beth, his parents, Paul and Eileen, his brother Stan McGarvey, sister in law Linda, nephews David and John, his significant other Susan Neff and many good friends.

    So sorry for your loss. How blest Steve was God placed him as part of your eartly family. As King
    David said, my son will no longer come to me but someday I shall go to him.

    Your family was a cornerstone of the foundation of our church and we will always hold you in our
    hearts and prayers. Eileen was such a role model for us little Missionettes.

    Steve was the first tool salesman to call on me many years ago. i always enjoyed talking to him
