A friend of mine back in Great Bend informed me of Mike's passing a while back
but I was a little busy to even think about it. I hadn't seen or heard from or even
thought about Mike in upwards of at least 2yrs… we had a brief association then
and prior to that it had been many years since I'd last seen him. When I think of
Mike I mainly think of the yearthrilledqs when we had first met. We had both
attended this private Baptist school that used to be located there in Great Bend. I
think we were all basically a bunch of Dorks back then and had to dress “Office
Casual” for school with our red, white, and blue horizontally striped ties with little
alternating American and Christian flags all across them. I can remember all us
boys from Heritage Baptist going to his parents Silver Wedding Anniversary
celebration at The Knights of Columbus… I mean, we were all in the area of 16yrs
old then and it was an “Open Bar,” so sure… we were all just THRILLED to be there.
Good Times For Real… before life got complicated for so many of us. Most of
those stories may be better left untold here, so, maybe all I've left to say is
    “Goodbye Old Friend.”
