Rosa Lee worked for Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Kansas City from January 1964 until she retired in January of 2012. She loved to travel, listen to country music, bake; especially during the holiday season and spending time with her family and friends.

Rosa Lee is preceded in death by her loving husband Merlin Gibson; daughter Cheryl Gibson; parents Virgil and Vera Leonard; brothers Virgil Leonard and Donald Leonard; and sister Lois Gamm.

Survivors include two sons Mathew (Dorothy) and Eric (Emily) of Kansas City, Missouri; three grandchildren Danielle VanHoecke (Nick), of Gladstone, Missouri, Marissa Gibson and Julian Lopez of Kansas City, Missouri; two sisters Nada Perry of Kansas City, Kansas and Donna Leonard of San Antonio, Texas; and numerous family members and friends. Matt you know how I felt about your mom. I'm so glad that we stayed in contact after we both retired.
She always thanked me for calling her & she had nothing but GOOD to say about her much
loved family. We talked a lot about our grandchildren. I will miss our talks and I'm really sorry for
your family's loss but I believe she is in a good place with NO more pain. God Bless you and
    your family.

Ms. Rosa Lee you will be sorely missed. Thank you for talking me through making the drive to South
Dakota! Hope you got the chance to make the cobbler recipe I sent you. I thank the Lord you are no
    longer suffering. RIP sweet lady.

and my deepest condolences to the family.
