    To Mom:

    A last goodbye

It's only because of my health probems, that Wanda and I can not be there; to help Verlin, Pam and family, take mom to her final resting place. Mom loved her children and granda children very much, and always supported them in what ever they did. There were many times, when mom did without; so Verlin and I might be able to get things we needed to play sports, or things we might need for school. She never complained, she was just being mom.

When my children and step – children called me with their support and sadness, about their grandmother's passing; it allowed me to deal with mom's passing easier.

It's so hard to put to paper my feelings. After my time in the miltary, I moved to the north Georgia mountians; were mom was living. I was able to have her in my life again for 22 years.

As I moved to Virgina, then Richard passed away; mom moved back to Leavenworth, were she lived; and was taken care of by, Verlin and Pam.

I've only been back home twice in about 50 years, but have stayed in touch with Verlin, mom and family though the years.

Wanda's and my thoughts and prayers, are with the family; during this time of sorrow. We wish that we could be there with all of you, during this time of mom's passing. I find myself getting ready, in the next few years; to move one more time, to the place where she is now.

    With All our Love,

Jerry L & Wanda B Dunlap and family
