Martha, my entire family will miss you. You were the strongest person I've ever met. You were an inspiration. Your devotion to your boys and your love for them was always so easy to see. You taught them so much in the time you had with them. You also were always so willing to teach and work with all the other little kiddos who gathered around you each Sunday. No matter how rotten you may have felt, you always were so kind to the kids. You touched the lives of so many. Words here cannot express the deep sorrow I feel for your boys and Ross having to lose you now and for you - having to go. But I do know that you are in a better place and that you are no longer suffering and in pain. I will always think of you when I see your boys and I plan to see them often.

Your strength and courage amaze me. While I wish
your time on earth had been longer, I know that the
world is better for you having been in it. I know that
you're at rest now after fighting for so long, and I pray

Martha, you were and are an inspiration to me. Your wisdom, humor, incredible mothering, and your wry perspective on the beauty and richness of life - all of these things remain with me. I miss you and I look for you in the places we used to talk. You meant more to me and to our friends than you could have known, even as much as we told you. As I told you, over and over, I am sending you love and light.

You have been a wonderful and entertaining friend who has taught me so much about life's priorities. I am so sorry that you didn't have more time with your precious priorities, your sons. I always wished that for you, and you fought so hard for it. May your love for them stay with them and the rest of your family during this very difficult time. I will miss you dearly.

Martha, you have such an amazing spirit. I use the present tense because I know your spirit lives on. You will forever watch over those beautiful little boys. I am so incredibly saddened that they had to lose such an incredible mama while they are still so little. I have spent a lot of extra time holding my babies and thinking of you all these past weeks. I will never forget your strength, your will, your wicked humor, the ways your eyes shined bright when you laughed, the tenor of your voice. I am so incredibly grateful that I was blessed with the privilege of knowing you. I will keep you in my heart, always!
